Q. Where are orchids from?
All our orchids are from Thailand and are from both tissue culture and cuttings. The young plants are best quality and carefully selected from farms. An orchid plant usually gives its first stem when it is 8 to months old. In a year that plant will give an average 5 to 8 stems.
The flowers are cut and sorted in a cool room at the packinghouse of the supplier. They are collected in special climate control trucks and delivered to the airport. The cargo departs from Bangkok at 12:25am. The flight from Bangkok on a night flight to arrive fresh the following day.
The time from cutting to departing from Bangkok airport is abut 27 hours. Once consignment has landed and been checked and cleared by customs, our driver pick up the bundles and return to our packing unit where we unpack them, check each tray over and then re-pack them for our customers.
Q. Where do you send?
We are able to accept order only for UK Mainland.
Q. How do I place an order?
This site has been designed to make ordering product range as easy and convenient as possible.
You will be clearly instructed to navigate the order process and you will be required to provide us with your correct and complete personal details, including postcode, together with those of the intended recipient and all necessary payment details.
Q. Can I order over the Phone?
Yes, you can order over the telephone and pay by credit card if you prefer.
Q. Can I add personal message card to my order?
Yes, you can do this absolutely free of charge.
Q. How do I enter a personal message to accompany my order?
You can enter a personal message to accompany your order just follow simple procedure at t he check out section.
Q. What can I do if I realise that I have entered the wrong information in the ordering page?
You can contact us by email or phone; we would try our best to do last minute changes. We cannot accept responsibility for incorrect address or other details unless we are informed in time to make the changes.
Q. How do I Choose a Dispatch date?
When you enter the details of recipient, you will find a menu of dates and you can choose the date even up to few months in advance.
Q. What if recipient is out at the time of delivery?
If carrier is unable to find some one to accept delivery they will deliver to a neighbour, leave in a secure location or leave a card at the address for the recipient to make contact.
Q. Where will the message be located?
Your message will be printed on glossy card and placed inside the box with the order.
Q. What if I would like to make a complaint?
We always try to make sure and take a great care to ensure all our orders leave us in peak condition.

Q. How long you take to deal with complaints?
We aim to respond to all inquiries within one working day and resolve all complaints within 3 working days.
Q. Can I be removed from your mailing list?
If you wished to be removed from our postal/email mailing list please email us info@orchidpost.co.uk with your request, including your full details.
Q. Can you track the order?
Yes, we keep track on all our orders. If you have any query regarding your order you can contact us via email or contact number.
Q. How do you take care of the orchids once they arrive?
- After you receive your package open box immediately.
- After removing wrapping sleeve and water tubes, refresh blooms with a spray of water mist.
- If you find a small brown stick wax please discard, this keep moister away in transits.
- If the orchids appear soft when unpacked, lay bouquet in a large container of water for 30 minutes and the blooms will be ready for arranging.
- 1/2inch (approximately 2cm) should be cut from the base of the stem in slight angle with a sharp knife then place the stems in a vase.
- Orchids should be kept away from direct sunlight and heat sources.
- The orchids will benefit from regular mist spraying. Water in the vase should be changed and removal of dead heads will prolong the life of these beautiful flowers.
- Orchids can last longer in cooler temperature but can suffer from cool drafts.
Q. What is cool draft?
A cool draft is moving air that is cooler then the ambient temperature, such as air from an open window on a cool day.
